Moonlight and Shadows is based in and around The City of Silverymoon
It includes The Moonwood with Quaervarr and The Silverwood further south.
Stretching along the Lower Rauvin Vale up to The Nether Mountains.
From The Spine of the World, down through The High Forest and Llorhk
There is also an extensive Underdark, including areas of Menzoberranzan

Tired of being treated as slaves by the Lower Rauvin Orcs, the Raving Chaggers tribe has decided it's time to move in.
Their clan leader Urgo is recruiting volunteers for a concerted attack on the orc stronghold hoping to remove their taint from the Lower Rauvin..and ..er well introduce another one.
This event is open to anyone who wishes to make an ogre/ice-spire ogre and join in the fun.
The maximum start level is 6 (ogres are a +2 ECL) and I will need 5 other players and a DM if one is available.
Required Classes.
1 Cleric
1 Magic User/Sorc/Bard (the flag bearer)
2 Fighters (of which Urgo is one)
2 Barbarians/ Thug
Male or female
Each will start at second level and may interact or adventure on the server, bearing in mind the restrictions of the race, which means you may start in Llorhk or Menzo.
The Raving Chaggers are a more civilised ogre clan, as far as ogre clans can go  .
Urgo is intelligent for a chieftan (INT 10) and weighs up his options carefully. It isn't forbidden for other clan members to ally themselves with other races, but only ogres will be allowed in the final confrontation.
Clan members alignments should not be lawful (sorry no monks) and not good (no Shreks either  ), but tend towards neutral.
Urgo is CN
Should the raid go as planned, the Rauvin Vale Orc stronghold will change hands, keeping in with MaS's player shaping the world program.
This is a fun event and players wishing to participate should sign up here. Getting to level 6 shouldn't be too difficult. I'll also post on NWC, so sign up there as well.
You don't need to apply as per normal rules, nor produce a PC story, but a brief description would be cool when Examining IG.

Quaervarr : I noticed recently excessive loading times, to combat this I have turned a number of 'filler' dwelling into enviromentals, adjusting the walkmesh accordingly. Let me know if anyone notices a difference.
Fixed Hezekiah's Quest
I've looked at Mancibo's store and can see no apparent reason as to why it doesn't open, all scripts and tags are in place.

Read Carefully.
Run Worldgate as of 11/06/09 (Battlemaze fix)
You will also need:

Replace all the files in your override file with the ones on the pack.
This works better if you don't keep United Colors in your override, but it's your choice.
Take out the dialog.tlk you have in your NWN2/mydocs and replace it with the one in the pack. DO NOT leave the dialog.tlk in your override folder.
There will be bugs, all prc packs contain them, read the messages already posted on the NW Vault pertaining to the hak pack, report any bugs you find.
Read the notes on any potential bugs there may be.
I have taested as far as I can, but even some may have escaped me.
This is a trial run, most importantly, have fun.[/color]

Keep illegal voice packs and overrides off the PW, anyone using them will be banned if they keep crashing the server.
Note, if you do not intend to make a Rof you DO NOT need to keep the overrides in the override folder.
If you DO want to make a RoF, make it and then you should remove the overrides to play as the hak will let you see everything

Please read the following carefully.
I've turned the override into a hak pack that works just fine locally.
You will need to download the tlk file which can be found here..and the overrides

We're actually going to be using version 2.21, but the 2.23 dialog.tlk should work.
Whichever one you decide to use it needs to go into your MY DOCUMENTS/NWN2 folder as this will be used in place of the one in the Atari/NWN2 folder which you don't need to touch.
We're doing this with a trial period and you MUST request permission to use a race from this pack, though you do not need to write up a character story. Simply because we need to keep track on who has them and if there's any bugs that might need reporting.
Some races are extremely powerful and may be refused.
When requesting a race from the pack, include your server log in, failure to do this will result in a refusal.
Any handle that is seen IG that is not on the list seen with a RoF race will be questioned and quite probably have the pc erased.
You will also need to ask a DM to port you into the game as the scripts are not set up and there after use LAST SAVED LOCATION.
The XP giver will not normally work with any of the races included, though some are based on regular NWN2 races and may do, so by all means try.
All monster races may be challenged for PvP as usual.
Monster races are banned from Silverymoon for the moment and will be expelled if found there by a DM if they have no pertinent reason for being there.
IE being asked by a DM.
You will need the overrides in the override folder to see the races in the character creation screen as the NW2 engine doesn't load the haks before the game is initiated. This was tagged to be fixed with patch 1.22, but is at the moment not the case.
Again, this is a trial period, we want to integrate RoF into Moonlight and Shadows, but only if players are sensible about it. It is being done to increase flavour and RP opportunity.
Myself, arolar, Aksiren and Soulfiend are available to discuss or throw around any ideas you all may have as to this hak. Send your apps to Arolar or myself.

When the server has crashed and is restarting give it 5 minutes from the time it shows up in Gamespy to reload the module.
Currently the server takes 16+ minutes to load from the point that the game application resets.
Letting the server fully load before logging in helps prevent another crash.
The Management
(Exception Note: that if you are in chat and Arolar, Scaly, DW or Soulfiend tell you the server is up you can log on immediately. Those persons have direct access to the server and can verify that module is fully loaded.)

Moonlight and Shadows:
You MUST have the expansion packs Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir installed to play on Moonlight and Shadows. If you do not, you will crash in any area that has placeables, terrain etc etc that were introduced with it.
We use two overrides, Races of Faerun and whatbricks hair. Clear out anything else you may have in your override folder as this may cause lag on the server.
DO NOT KEEP YOUR OVERRIDE FOLDER FULL OF JUNK, players suspected of causing needless lag will be banned, we do track it on the server.
1. This is a high role play server. You should stay in character according to your class/race/alignment at all times. Any OOC talk should be clearly marked as such, done on the party channel or in tells.
2. Use of "Shout" channel is restricted to DM/Staff only.
3. DM decisions are final. Respect what they tell you. If you feel it was unfair or inappropriate, please speak with arolar or Soulfiend.
4. You may PvP IF it is well role played and agreed on by ALL players involved beforehand. Once the PvP is over with, the PCs must avoid each other as much as possible. The loser may not seek out the winner for revenge. The only time the involved PCs should play together afterward is they have RPed some sort of agreement/truce. Bullying will not be tolerated, by that we mean picking on other players simply because you've taken a dislike to their pc. Remember RP is the name of the game.
5. Players MAY NOT transfer items from any PC they play to another PC they play, under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, muling using another player or dropping it and picking it up as another PC.
6. PCs may give items to other PCs (played by another player) IF there is a RP reason for it, and it is an item appropriate to the level of the PC receiving the item.
7. It is an 18+ server, so graphic conversation is not prohibited. That said, it should be done in character and privately. Be aware that a DM may be present and can see your conversation, and/or will get ANY conversation on the party channel. If it involves PCs that have no IC reason to do it and a DM sees it, you will be subject to possible alignment shifts, etc as the DM deems appropriate. This also applies to use of vulgar language (swearing, etc). It is not prohibited, but please make sure it is IC and not used simply to offend. If anyone has a complaint about the language/conduct of another player, please speak to Soulfiend or scalyface .
7a. Sexual harrassment In character or otherwise is strictly forbidden on this server. Any complaints backed up with a screenshot proving this will result in the offender being banned immediately. Any aspects of rape or pornographic behavior will result in an immediate ban.
7b. Character Description on Character Creation screen.
All Player Characters are considered 18 + (or racial equivalent) on the server. In the description field any wording implying otherwise will get them wiped and the player warned.
8. All rules posts or announcements in the forum must be followed by the player. It is your responsibility to read them. This is not meant to be an all inclusive list and may be modified at any time. Please use common sense and courtesy when in the server. Violations of any these rules will result in warnings and/or banning.
9. The five level rule MUST be adhered to by everyone (with the exception of the Hellfire Warlock class since it only allows three levels in the game engine):
The five level rule has been modified. You may now level as you wish, but in any additional classes you take you MUST have at least five levels in it/them by the time you reach 20th. If you take a new class after level 20 you must have 5 levels in it by level 30.
10. Logging out of the PW to avoid a death is punishable by being banned. It is cheating and unfair to other players.
Our DM's are competent to judge what is a legitimate crash and persistent logging off when in battle.
11. Very Important : Before downloading and installing our haks, please make sure your hak folders and override folders from My documents and Atari/NW2 are empty of other third party haks and overrides. This will avoid conflicts with M and S required files.
12. There are no special applications for NWN2 PrCs. There is an application for Kaedrin's PrCs. Those applications go to jmbrosendo. Those applications MUST include Login, Char name, Final Build, Progression, Background, and Observations,/notes.
12a. Races of Faerun race applications go to Arolar. Those applications just need Login, Character Name, Race, and a list of areas that character is not allowed to enter based on this rule: http://www.moonlightandshadows.com/portal/viewtopic.php?t=5256
13. Epic Levels : Free to be taken when you pass the level cap. If you do still wish an event to be run, contact arolar, but this is no longer an obligation.
14. Redoing pc's is not permitted on Moonlight and Shadows, think carefully before you level up. As of 05 March 2009 "restarting" a character is only permitted by AKsiren420. If you wish to restart a character for a plausible IC reason send a PM to AKsiren420 and she will approve the restart, if appropriate. Please note that no items or xp is allowed to be transferred between the old PC and the "restarted" one.
